COMMUNION

Do not think that you are alone in this world. Every rock would have a
conversation with you. Every tree watches as you pass. Every flower calls to you, to the bees and birds ... 'Come feast your senses on me and I will feed you on the pollen of beauty. Not only are they, like you, Beings trapped in form. But they, like you, are also reaching out to be in communion.

For to be truely seen and heard by another, is to know your self more
completely. And so it is that the spirits of the air and water, the fire
and the earth, all these Beings know themselves more fully when they are truely seen by you, as you are made more real when you become conscious that you are seen and felt, heard and by them.

It is not just a fanciful metaphor. To awaken fully to the experience of
this world is to waken to relationship with every moss and mushrooom, every breeze and pool. It is to be released from the isolation of this bag of flesh and to come home into the connective tissue of creation.

This is the great struggle of the human being who lives in time with plans and regrets, hopes and disappointments. Can we learn to use this gift of knowing the future and the past without becoming lost in its' endless corridors.

This is the great evolutionary bridge that must be crossed. Can we be
"creators" and live in the eternal possibilities of imagination. And at the
same time be "the created" and live in harmonious communion with every living entity in the simple moment of this very second, now, in all its wondrous, gruesome splendor
