When two energies try to merge but are not balanced and aligned, agitation
will be the result. Two unequal forces cannot ultimately unite in a fully
harmonious way.

So it is with us as human beings. You cannot sustain a relationship unless
there is a balance of power. If one person relinquishes and sacrifices a
part of themseves in order to be with another, then so must the other
relinquish something of themselves if the relationship is to be sustained.
Either the strong will be diminished while the weak is upheld, or the weak
will be consumed while the strong devours.

Love is not meant to be a giving up of what is essential, but a flowering into an ever greater potential.
