The animals are sparks from the divine fire. Each spark carries a vibration for the whole. To lose one of these, is to lose a strand of skin that holds the head of the drum taught . The sound begins to lose its' resonance and soon it does not play at all.

We cannot risk such an emptiness, such a silence, such a heartbreak.

The spirit of each animal brings a gift, a tone that carries harmony to this world. Do not underestimate what will happen to you and to your own children, if you allow one of these relatives, one of these organs of your own body to be destroyed.

What will the African savanna be without the Elephant. How will India know its own forest without Tiger. How can China rejoice when the bamboo is no longer embraced by the Panda.

The oceans will grow sad and silent without the song of Whale. The Amazon will lose its majesty without the Jaguar's cough and leap. And what night will be as sweet without the Owl and the Frog, the Wolf and the Hyena to offer our gratitude to the Moon.
