PERSEVERANCE

Once you know what is being asked of you, there is no turning back. For you are never asked to do something that is not first in your heart to do. It may be difficult, it may even be unpleasant, but it serves the life to which you have been called. To abandon a commitment that you know is yours to fulfill, is to betray not only yourself, but life itself.

Often we are asked to accomplish a task that will stretch us to the limit.
For this is the way of growth. The trees' bark must stretch for the new
growth to come. The skin of the serpent must split and be left behind that growth may be manifest. The green shoot must push through the frozen ground to find its way to the sun. It is not easy, but it is the way of it.

As you stay committed to the thing that is trying to be born within and
through you, you grow in wisdom and strength. To perservere is to be
faithful, and faithfulness is always rewarded with growth. Not necessarily
with happiness, which like the weather is a transitory thing, but with
expansion, depth, maturity. The tree puts out new growth every year, not
because it is lacking in beauty or stature, not because it is unacceptable the way it is, but because it is the way of life to grow.

This is what makes it imperative to perservere in the face of obstruction.
Not because it is pleasant or easy, but because all growth needs to happen for life itself to be fulfilled.

Therefore, do not fret and complain about what is yours to do. Do not moan and lament the difficulties that beset you. Gather your warrior spirit around you, let it permeate your will and move forward upon the path before you. It does not matter how small or how great the task may be. To not fulfill what your heart has promised to do, harms your spirit.

No matter what may stand in your way, persevere, and be glad that your gift, in the turning of things, will be fulfilled.
