I have studied kung fu, tae kwan do, boxing, kick boxing and my favorite of all, Ki Soo Do. Ki Soo Do, otherwise known as Moo Duk Kwan, is a powerful martial art from Korea. Originally taught to the bodyguards of the Emperor of the kingdom of Sitta which sent a handful of its best young warriors to China to train in martial arts, the Chinese were impressed with the Koreans discipline, focus, and indomitable spirit, so the Chinese granted them with the style of Soo Buk Do. It is now used as a military martial art taught to the soldiers of Korea.

When I first started training in this powerful martial art, to my surprise, it came extremely natural to me. During my early years of training with Adam Longlade, I became his most focused and most disciplined student.

Currently (2004), I am still training in the martial arts on a daily basis and I intend to enter the Canadian Military later this year. This has been an aspiration of mine for quite some time.

In preparation for this new stage of my life, I have been intensely, physically training. This involves a five to six day a week training which consists of :

1) 5 km. run

2) 1 km. swim

3) 1 hr. weight training

4) 1 hr. hand-to-hand combat

5) 1 hr. weapons combat

6) 1 hr. knife combat

7) 1 - 2 hr. wilderness survival practice
