Anger is a fever
Burning in the soul
Anger is emotion

When anger's in the body
And becomes a ghostly tame
When like a phantom fist it grabs you

And it calls you by your name
There is nothing you can do or say
To make it go away

The burning furnace

What's in the burning furnace
To know what lies inside

Anger is a fever
Raging in the blood
Anger is a power
Rising like a flood

When anger like a serpent
Strikes you in the heart
Fear not that the poison
Will make your spirit dark
There is healing in the serum's fire
It's fighting for your life

Anger

If the passion of a fever
Is suppressed or is ignored
Illness will flame unchecked
And burn forevermore

If a fever is allowed to rage
With no measure of control
If no healing balm is ministered

It may consume the whole
